WAS IST DER LISBON TOURISM SUMMIT?
Mit dem Abklingen der Pandemie versucht die Tourismusbranche, sich wieder zu erholen. Aus diesem Grund suchen die Akteure der Branche nach innovativen Lösungen, die den Umsatz steigern, das Kundenerlebnis verbessern und einen intelligenteren Betrieb gewährleisten. Der Lissabonner Tourismusgipfel ist eine hybride Veranstaltung, bei der sich internationale Experten und Tourismusfachleute über die wichtigsten Trends der Branche informieren. Dies ist der Moment, sich auf die Zukunft zu konzentrieren. Und diese Zukunft ist jetzt.

Das Speaker Panel bestehend aus Branchen-Größen wurde durch Keynotes aus Technologie, Psychologie und Wissenschaft ergänzt. In der englischsprachigen Keynote von Gabriele Horcher zeigte sie neue Kommunikations-Technologien, die für die Tourismusbranche wichtig werden:

– Deepfake
– Automatische Text-Generierung
– AR-/VR-/Mixed-Reality und Metaverse
– Emotion Recognition

EVENT-SPEZIFISCHE AUSSAGEN

Science fiction author Neil Stephenson invented the Metaverse 30 years ago in his novel “Snow Crash”. The Metaverse: a digital parallel world into which people immerse themselves because they want to escape the ugly and violent reality. The Metaverse is a holiday from everyday life and I am sure it will be closely linked to tourism in the future. What’s wrong with experiencing the excitement or relaxation of a holiday virtually, before or after the actual trip?  

Microsoft, game companies and dating platforms are already working on solutions. And Facebook has just renamed itself Meta. If they all worked together on one Metaverse, it would have the potential to become more popular than the internet as a communication channel.
